Children's Ministry

Sunday School
Sunday morning finds our halls simply alive with excitement. Classes are filled with children in a purposefully chosen curriculum that helps fulfill our vision to restore lives, families, and community by helping them connect with Jesus Christ. Our curriculum reaches from the youngest child, in our nursery, to the oldest in the department, the fifth grader. An understanding of discipleship begins with the foundation of God’s Word and an understanding of His love for each one of us.  All children's Sunday School classes, ages 2 through 5th grade will be using The Gospel Project®. This is a Christ-centered curriculum that helps kids understand that all Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, points to Jesus Christ. After a year of using this curriculum, teachers are thoroughly enjoying diving into God's Word with this tool.  Families can download The Gospel Project® app to experience more fun and growth throughout the week. An additional resource is the weekly blog. There is an adult Gospel Project class available in Room 85.

Children who are 3 yr old - Kindergarten can attend Preschool Worship for a time of worship, praise, and play while their parents attend worship service during The Bridge & Traditions at 10:45 am.

Preschool Worship is a time of teaching the children to worship, praise and play.
Children must be 3 years old by September 1 of the current school year.

Time With The Pastor

“Children’s Time with the Pastor” offered the 3rd Sunday of each month in the Traditions worship service –  During worship all children (5th grade and below) are invited down for a “time with the pastor.”  At the conclusion of this time, children ages Kindergarten and below, who wish to attend Preschool Worship, will be escorted to the room location by a member of the Children’s Ministry team.  Elementary children will return to their seat with their parents.

Nursery

The nursery is available for children ages birth through 2 years old. Please bring a bag for your child that contains diapers, bottles or other items your child needs. PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS with your child’s name. You will be given a pager when you check in your child. Should we need you, your pager will vibrate to notify you to come to the nursery. Our ministry team and facility is sufficiently equipped in order that your child is in a safe environment and that he/she is cared for while away from his/her parents. Our goal is to ensure parents the peace of mind to attend worship while their children are being cared for and being nurtured in spiritual development.

Connection Resources

We are called and made by God to grow and become like Jesus. An essential part of our ministry is helping people grow by connecting to Jesus and committing to His way. We believe this is best done in connecting to a group of other believers who help each other on that journey. The Grow Guide is a resource to help you find those connections.

How To Connect To A Group:
1. View the Grow Guide online by clicking the link and locate the ministry leader related to your age and stage in life.
2. Contact him or her through email or phone.
3. A ministry leader will reach out to you, ask a few questions, and help connect you to a group.

We live our faith each day in the ways we serve others locally or in the world. GIVE means first that we are challenged to offer ourselves in service to God, locally and globally. Second we are challenged to offer our abilities and talents to God to build up the Body of Christ in our congregation and elsewhere. Thirdly, we are challenged to offer our financial resources to God and live generously.
