Celebrate the wonder of Christmas at Christ United! This Advent, we invite you to join us for joyful gatherings, beautiful music, and meaningful celebrations that honor the birth of Jesus.

Advent is a season of anticipation. For some, the anticipation for Christmas begins the day after Thanksgiving, and for others, in October.  May this season be a time of personal expectant waiting of what Jesus, the Son of God wants to do you in your life, family, and church.

This Advent, join us for our sermon series “He Shall Be Called.” Each week, we will reflect on a name that reveals the heart of who Jesus is—Wonderful Counselor, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, and Immanuel—and the hope and promise each title brings. The series concludes with Simeon’s Prayer—The Wait is Over, as we celebrate the arrival of our Savior. Come and prepare your heart for Christmas as we reflect together on the true meaning of the season.

Advent Offering


This Advent season, we invite you to join us in the spirit of giving through Christ United’s Advent Missions Offering. This Advent season is a time when our hearts are moved by compassion and generosity. This year, your gifts will support Mississippi Food Network’s Backpack Program, supplying non-perishable food items to children in local Jackson Public Schools. Our offering directly affects the students at Galloway Elementary, supporting roughly 360 students for the next 2 years.

Festival of Carols

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7 | 11:00 AM

Celebrate the Christmas season with our annual Festival of Carols. Join us at Christ United for a beautiful presentation featuring a full choir and orchestra, performing both traditional and new carols.

With narration by Megan Allen-West, Lead News Anchor at WAPT, and a special performance by Ballet Magnificat, this program tells the full story of Christmas through music, dance, and song. Come experience the joy of Jesus’ birth in a powerful, inspiring way.

NextGen’s Christmas Celebration

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14 | 10:00 AM

Our NextGen will be getting into the holiday spirit during the lifegroup hour on this special Sunday. Kids and youth will enjoy a morning filled with crafts, hot cocoa, and Christmas fun. Don’t miss this festive celebration with an extra special guest… Santa! The kids wing (birth-3rd grade) will be celebrating in their PJ’s with Jingle & Jammies while the youth side will celebrate with hot chocolate, cookies, and a gingerbread house decorating competition with Cocoa & Crumbl! You’re not going to want to miss it!

Christmas Eve Services

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24 | 3 & 5PM

You’re invited to celebrate Christmas Eve with us at Christ United! Join us for a beautiful evening of communion, candlelight, and reflection as we celebrate the birth of Jesus and the hope He brings. Services will be held at 3:00 and 5:00pm in the Sanctuary, each one filled with carols, reverence, and a message of joy for the season. Come and experience the light, peace, and love that Christmas brings. We look forward to celebrating with you! Childcare will be available at the 3 o’clock service for ages K3 and under. There will not be childcare available for the 5 o’clock service.
